Background of The AfterglowThe Afterglow was a monthly lifestyle magazine, with news of society notables, club activities, and views of new estate homes - even interior decoration tips for those just getting acquainted with the country living it espoused. There were ads for luxury motorcars, the latest in fashion and, above all, the developing exclusive real estate opportunities. Whether you're a local historian, genealogist, or for that matter, just interested in the period, there are discoveries to be made on every page. The first of 32 issues came out in March 1925, and the last was published in December 1927. The Burton Historical Collection, Detroit Public Library has the only complete set of the printed version of The Afterglow.
